Take a look at this time lapse video of some guy creating a digital painting of Spider-man in Photoshop. The drawing was made with a digital tablet, captured from the monitor in real-time and then accelerated 3000x. The video shows the complete process in about 4 mins. It took nearly 6 hrs to do in real time.
